Developing Mobile Information Systems: Managing Additional Aspects
Despite the numerous stories in academic journals and the business press of systems that fail to deliver anticipated benefits, mobile information systems (IS) are still gaining ground. The nature of mobile IS introduces additional aspects that require attention during the development process, compared to more traditional information systems built for stationary computers. The underlying assumpt...
متن کاملAdditional Aspects of the Stackelberg Strategy in Nonzero-Sum Gamesl
Abstr , ,ct . The Stacketberg strategy in t~onzero-sum games is a reasonable solution concept for games where, either due to lack of information on the part of one player about the performance function of the other, or due to different speeds in computing the strategies, or due to differences in size or strength, one player dominates the entire game by imposing a solution which is favorable to ...
متن کاملAdditional aspects of the generalized linear-fractional branching process
We derive some additional results on the Bienyamé-Galton-Watson branching process with θ−linear fractional branching mechanism, as studied in [16]. This includes: the explicit expression of the limit laws in both the sub-critical cases and the super-critical cases with finite mean, the long-run behavior of the population size in the critical case, limit laws in the super-critical cases with inf...
متن کاملAdditional Winning Strategies in Two-Player Games
We study the problem of checking whether a two-player reachability game admits more than a winning strategy. We investigate this in case of perfect and imperfect information, and, by means of an automata approach we provide a linear-time procedure and an exponential-time procedure, respectively. In both cases, the results are tight.
متن کاملRevealing Additional Information in Two-Party Computations
A two-argument function is computed privately by two parties if after the computation, no party should know anything about the other inputs except for what he is able to deduce from his own input and the function value. In [1] Bar-Yehuda, Chor, Kushilevitz, and Orlitsky give a complete characterisation of two-argument functions which can be computed privately (in the information-theoretical sen...
